- The roleThe Head of PMO is responsible for leading the PMO team and designing the framework within which projects are created, managed, and completed. They create methodologies, standards, and dependencies according to which projects are designed.

The Head of PMO is the custodian of best practice in project management and provides support on the most complex firmwide projects. They own the framework that sets investment priorities and creates transparency in the firm.
- Main responsibilities- Design and implement a project management framework that ensures the successful completion of projects within the organization.
- Establish project management methodologies, processes, and tools to ensure effective planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Standardise best practices and oversee related project delivery processes.
- Provide advice on prioritization, scheduling, change management, and maintain accountability for project delivery.
- Collaborate with the Information Systems (IS) team to advise and implement best practice technological solutions.
- Provide program management support to ensure that change initiatives are coordinated.
- Establish a regular cadence of reporting that provides simple and transparent reporting on key change initiatives across the firm.
- Take a leading role in the larger, more complex change initiatives in your respective business areas.
- Line manages the Project Management team.
- Skills and qualifications- Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a UK-based law firm or professional services organization.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects and delivering operational efficiencies.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, particularly in the context of business transformation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to organize and allocate resources to deliver against prioritized transformation programs.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in business management, technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Qualifications such as the Association of Project Management, Prince2, Scrum, Managing Successful Programmes, Agile Project Management, or other equivalent certifications are desirable.
