Bureau Veritas is actively seeking a Principal MWS Consultant to join Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore Ltd. (BVS) a Bureau Veritas Group Company.

Established in 2010, BVS has a large offshore operator and marine contractor client base. BVS provides high quality services in Dynamic Positioning Assurance & Consulting, Engineering Assurance & Consulting, Marine Warranty, Marine Assurance & Consulting and Project Assurance & Consulting. In 2016, BVS was acquired by Bureau Veritas, reaffirming our company’s ambition to strengthen our worldwide presence and to offer a wider service portfolio to the market.

**Duties and Responsibilities Marine Warranty**:

- Liaise with existing clients to promote BVS’s marine warranty department
- Business Development of MWS Department with prospective clients
- Attend industry events to promote BVS’ marine warranty capability
- Deputise for the Marine Warranty Manager as required.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of marine project plans, equipment, and procedures to assess risks.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop detailed survey reports, providing professional recommendations and risk evaluations.
- Verify that marine operations comply with industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Perform on-site inspections and surveys to assess the condition of vessels and equipment.
- Certify the fitness-for-purpose of marine assets and operations before project commencements.
- Advise and guide clients on risk mitigation strategies and safety enhancements.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical inquiries and risk-related matters throughout projects.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and emerging risk trends.
- International travel will be required within this role or out of office attendances as per project requirements. The majority of the time allocated to this role will be out of office.
- Formal Senior Deck (II/2), Senior Engine (III/2) qualification and/or Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering Degree (Meng/BEng) qualification preferred
- Member of the Society of Offshore Marine Warranty Surveyors (MSOMWS) or experience in marine warranty preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills essential.
- Good numeracy, customer care and keyboard skills essential.
- DPO Unlimited and/or DP maintenance qualification preferred
- Onshore managerial experience an advantage
- Experience in marine survey and review preferred
- Experience in dealing with client queries
- Knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures.
- Experience in marine, oil & gas and/or renewable energy sectors an advantage.
