This Role

This role is a 12m fixed term contract and will lead in the development of people, plant, safety and equipment, supporting the long-term strategy for bulk operations and warehousing.

You will develop, co-ordinate, communicate and implement development opportunities through a structured implementation plan while supporting operations management in the delivery of a continuous improvement culture.

You will also be accountable for the delivery of operational and safety improvements. Where required carry out the operational role of a Process Leader to operate operational or warehouse sites safely, efficiently and effectively.

Your Unique Contribution

In your role as Business Improvement Leader, you will be an integral part of a team reporting to the Operations Manager, with some of your key responsibilities listed below:

- Ensure compliance with company standards for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory control.
- Assist in the development of business short, medium and long term strategies
- Maintain and report progress on improvement strategies
- Support the development of a continuous improvement culture
- Support the development of people at all levels within the department
- Research new technologies
- Manage new technology implementation programs
- Support operations in the development of plant and equipment
- Strong focus upon delivery
- Ensure performance targets and production requirements are met through the direct leadership of Warehouse/Operations personnel.
- Ensure optimal use of all materials and equipment
- Facilitate the development of new KPI’s.
- Provide the interface between warehousing, operations, operational planning and customers..
- Take responsibility for own self-development.
- Participate in the Management On Call Rota.
