- The OD & Change Specialist will support the delivery of strategic people programmes and Operating Model transformations across Networks & Corporate Units. They will work closely with HRBPs and leaders to and to support delivery on these key transformation programmes focussing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation, leadership, and teams. The role holder will work closely with their counterparts across HR to share learning, best practice to ensure a consistent approach to the delivery and the execution of operating model transformations, and other people-related change across Networks & Corporate Units.- OD and Change management requires effective stakeholder engagement, strong project management skills, the ability to work collaboratively, the ability to adapt and flex style for different audiences, and the tenacity and resilience to deliver results in a global, matrixed organisation. The OD and Change Specialist will champion good practice in organisation design, organisation and team effectiveness, and change management to ensure that a people lens is always applied in their projects and programmes to improve colleague experience and optimize business performance.- This role will also support the Networks & Corporate units role sizing lead to maintain organization and job architecture through sizing roles, governance and assurance as appropriate.**What you'll be doing**
- **Support leaders and HRBPs through Operating Model Transformations** by facilitating current state operating model assessments, defining, and designing of target operating models and transformation roadmaps including organisational structures, ways of working, governance and decision-making, skills and capabilities, locations, etc.
- **Accountable for leading and delivering organisation design projects** within Networks & Corporate Units as part of the overall One BT operating model.
- **Provide organisation design and effectiveness expertise and coaching **to senior business leaders and HR leaders, including interventions to address organisational, team or leadership challenges.
- Applies specialist knowledge to provide **advice, interpretation and guidance** on organisation design and effectiveness practices and processes.
- **Challenges the business**, leading **specialist service provision** on organisation design (through projects contracted with each HRD/People transformation directors).
- Leads regular/ ad hoc activities to **review best practice and industry standards.**:

- **Builds understanding**, skill-sets and competencies in specialism within the HR and Line Manager communities.
- **Change and/or programme management** for small and medium-sized people changes.

- **Job Analysis & Sizing**:

- research roles and jobs to focus on classification systems within that field
- **Team effectiveness - **understanding of stages of team development and how to facilitate constructive team sessions to drive improved outcomes
- **Organisation design expertise -**expert in organisation design. Acknowledged across the business as an expert in OD or change management (and outside BT) to ensure credibility as part of a Transformation team.
- **Story-telling/Communication**:strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and building a shared understanding of the logical options available to solve the business problems
- **Business acumen**: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
- **Excellent analytical reasoning**: identify problems and develop hypotheses
- **Change management** - understanding of change management and how to support teams to manage and deliver lasting people related change.
