The role would be full-time, with potential for hybrid remote work. Further details are as follows:
- You will be taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery and running of a MSc and MPhil, while supporting the academic activity of colleagues in the department more broadly. In particular, you will manage day-to-day enquiries from prospective and on-course students; provide administrative support for the programme including the dissemination of the course information, timetabling and administering assessments and assignments; service relevant committees based in the programme; and provide secretarial and other administrative support to the Department.- Other duties, include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the first point of contact for on-course students, ensuring an excellent level of service provision.
- Providing course information to students, including through updating the Course Handbooks and Canvas sites, creating induction packs and disseminating up-to-date information to students.
- Managing departmental events, including taking responsibility for booking venues, organising conference registration, facilitating the organisation of any hospitality required by the event, and overseeing and supporting as necessary accommodation and travel arrangements.
- Servicing the Departmental Programme’s Management Committee and the Departmental Teaching Committee, including preparing agenda, circulating papers and taking minutes, working in consultation with the relevant Chairs
- Managing marketing and communications for the Department's Programme. You will ensure that the programme’s public-facing and promotional material is up-to-date and, and, in liaison with the administrator having responsibility for communications, that it is appropriate to the relevant audience(s).

- Attention to detail
- Evidence of good organisational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people
- Demonstrable ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience of working, or the ability to work, as a member of a team that is physically dispersed across different buildings
- Good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel in particular)
- Good levels of numeracy
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
- Enthusiastic, reliable, well-presented and flexible in approach

Desirable
- Experience of academic administration, or of working in a higher education or related environment
- Demonstrable experience of communicating
- TSS workers accrue holiday pay that is equivalent to 38 days per year, this means you accrue a whopping 17.1% in holiday pay for the hours that you work for us._
