**Role**

The role of a Technical Placement Broker is to build and maintain strong relationships with our insurer partners, ensure effective placement of large complex commercial risks and to ensure governance in relation to new and existing insurer relationshipsand delegated authority schemes.

**key accountabilities will include**:

- Commercial lines technical broking/placement expert - knowledge of markets, products and wordings.
- Placement of complex commercial risks - engaging insurers and Group resources to source solutions.
- Effective oversight and management of operational relationship with Commercial Lines insurers.
- Enforcement of placement strategy cross insurer partners.
- Build strong relationships with UW leads within insurers - negotiating best rates and terms for customers.
- Source access to new capacity and products to meet the needs of our Not For Profit and Education teams.
- Oversight and management of Endsleigh’s delegated authority schemes ensuring loss ratio and GWP targets are achieved.
- Ensure effective reporting and analysis of partner performance and delivery of recommendations to improve.
- Onboard new partners - ensure Due Diligence is completed and review and negotiate TOBA.
- Overseeing insurer audits and management of action plans.
- Provide day to day support for our new business and renewals teams. Acting as a referral point or recommending markets for individual cases.

**Person**

We are looking for a Technical Placement Broker with proven relationship management experience with a strong insurer network of contacts and ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external suppliers and partners.

Youwill also be highly commercially aware, ability to develop, understand and evaluate financial business cases/plans and modelling (both internally and also externally).

**You will also have the following**:

- Strong commercial lines insurance knowledge gained in a broking or insurance company environment.
- Proven experience of commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
- In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
- Experience in placement of complex risks, preferably in the Education or Not For Profit segments.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurer markets.
- Excellent insurer trading and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
