**Job Description**:
Our client, a Public Sector organisation based in Dundee, requires an HR Advisor temporary basis to cover maternity leave (9 - 12months). Pay rate is £19.15 per hour, working 37 hours per week.

**Main purpose of role**:
To provide a comprehensive professional HR advisory service to managers and employees.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deputise for the Senior HR Business Partner as required- Provide professional advice to managers and employees on a range of HR issues including pay and- conditions of service, local and national agreements, employment legislation and good practice- Provide professional advice and carry out associated tasks in relation to general HR activities: Discipline and Grievance, Sickness Absence Management, Occupational Health Surveillance, Family Friendly Policies, Work Performance, Recruitment and Selection, Job Evaluation and Redundancy, Redeployment, Early Retirement, Flexible Retirement- Assist with the development and implementation of the Sickness Absence Management Policy and associated initiatives, including collation and analysis of data, drafting of regular management reports to the CMT and annual report to the Joint Committee- Assist the HR Manager with the development and implementation of recruitment and retention strategies and associated initiatives, including collation and analysis of data, drafting of regular management reports to the CMT and annual report to the Joint Committee- Research, develop and draft employment policies and procedures as instructed by the HR Manager- Draft CLT and SLT reports as required by the HR Manager- Contribute to the development and implementation of the HR Services Section annual Service Plan-
- respect of other HR strategies, themes and initiatives- Assist in facilitating harmonious employee relations through advising managers and employees and- attending formal meetings with trade union representatives- Participate in projects and working groups as required in relation to strategic and corporate initiatives**Key Skills and Requirements**
- Experience of working at a professional level in a broad-based HR role ideally within the public sector- Knowledge and/or experience of recruitment and selection, discipline and grievance, absence management and work performance- Experience of researching and drafting employment policies- Proven ability to plan and organise work to meet objectives- Proven ability to work to deadlines- Good verbal and written communication skills- Computer literacy skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages e- Proven ability to deal with confrontational situations- Educated to Nat 5 level in English and Maths- Associate Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development or equivalent qualification/experience- Full driving licence
