The role of **Career Coach **is an excellent opportunity to work within the local community, across a new national green skills and employability project, funded by **Shell**. Reporting to the Operations Manager, and working alongside an experienced employability team, you will support service users to progress into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities, on their journey into Net Zero Careers.

**About You**
- An experienced Career Coach, who works within local communities, to support service users to progress into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills, with the ability to develop strong rapport with referral partners, customers, training providers, employers, and participants.
- Approachable, adaptable, and supportive to the range of stakeholders involved in this programme.
- A positive, enthusiastic approach to problem solving, and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Great organisational, administrative, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to deadlines, produce reports, and deliver on objectives.

**Main Duties and Accountabilities**
- Inducting, assessing, and 'on-boarding' participants, delivering high quality end to end information, advice, and guidance.
- Promoting and developing the mind-set, emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and esteem of participants, so that they are better equipped, and succeed in the world of work.
- Short listing, pre-selecting, and matching/submitting participants to vacancies/work experience opportunities generated by the Catch22 account management team, and preparing job packs on specific vacancies/work experience opportunities.
- Introducing participants to a 'strength based' recruitment approach to succeeding in job interviews, preparing them to a high standard for interview with employers, and arranging interviews for participants where appropriate.
- Engaging and maintaining regular contact with participants at agreed intervals to ensure that they sustain their job or apprenticeship, and delivering high quality In Work Support, which effectively sustains participants for a minimum of six months.
- Supporting with the delivery of any Job Fairs, Workshops, and Seminars, both face to face, and remote, that prepare participants ready for the world of work.

**Qualifications**
- Experience of coaching, and delivering services, within the Employability sector
- Desirable: qualification in IAG (L3), ERS (L3), Coaching
- Experience and knowledge of strength based recruitment

**Additional Information** Salary**: £27,000 per annum
**Hours of work**:Full time, 37 hours per week
**Contract**: Fixed term, until 29/12/2024
**Flexibility**:Hybrid working - office based work and outreach work across Liverpool, with opportunities for remote working
- Some evening and weekend working may occasionally be required.
