We have a fantastic opportunity for an Academic Librarian within our Manchester campus where you can really help support and guide our undergrad and postgrad students in utilising library resources and services for achieving their best results while studying with us.**A little more about the role**: As campus and learning & teaching librarian, you will be delivering library services and information literacy instruction, line manage a small team, provide support to students and academic staff, and the wider QA community. This is a multifaceted role which is likely to be continuously transformed to reflect the campus and library services development. This role would suite a qualified librarian with some experience in similar roles who happily leaves the physical library space to meet the information needs of library users wherever they may be.**What some of what you’ll get up to**: (please click the link for the full Job Description)
- Supporting library users at all levels in making best use of collections and services for increasing their attainment; anticipating and resolving enquiries and creating appropriate guidance materials in various formats.
- Providing library liaison to one or more QAHE academic partnerships. This includes maintaining collaborative working relationships with partner university librarians and QAHE academics and programme managers; ensuring the QAHE Library provision meets the needs of the students on relevant programmes.
- Line managing a small team.
- Supporting campus collection management, identifying new and good value acquisition opportunities for learning and research resources based on sound understanding of licencing and copyright issues, and developments in publishing.
- Identifying the needs and opportunities for information literacy training across the campus and partnership provision, and other QAHE programmes as required; preparing and delivering inductions and information literacy sessions, online and face to face as required; delivering group and one-to-one support sessions; analysing, manipulating and interpreting data, to produce detailed reports, such as analysis of workshop feedback.

- Awareness of and keen interest in the HE environment and relevant pedagogies.
- Awareness of relevant technologies: LMS, ebook libraries, research databases, generic and specialist search engines, VLEs and other eLearning solutions; web and video document production, AI.
- Literature searching and reference management.
- Library collection management in print and electronic environments.
