Here at Office Angels Edinburgh we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Claims Administrator to join our highly credible clients claims department. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with a salary of £17,500.

To provide a quality service to the department by covering all aspects of administration and assisting the staff in the Department.

**Job Objectives**

- Accurately input new claims details received onto the company specific system, thereafter issuing confirmation of claims to insurers and acknowledgement to clients.
- Maintaining effective diary system, following up on outstanding information with insurers, clients and contractors.
- Prepare and issue reports on a monthly basis or as instructed.
- Deal with telephone enquiries promptly, referring the query to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside own experience and knowledge.
- Ensure that all communications with customers are accurately recorded as per the Firm's Procedures Manual.
- Liaise with the claims department and other departments, where appropriate.
- Deal with diary record entries as directed by the department
**Knowledge Required**
- **Customer service experience is essential.**:

- Basic understanding of the function of a Claims Department
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR would be advantageous
- Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of Principles of Insurance and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internal to the firm and externally.
- Maintain competency through continued professional development and keep accurate records thereof.

**Skills Required**:

- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered.
- Ability to liaise with colleagues when appropriate.
- Ability to report to senior colleagues and Directors when appropriate.
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters.
- Confident and effective telephone skills.
- The key characteristics are good work ethic, confidence and willingness to learn.
