**Company Profile**:
- The largest independent packaging distributor in UK and Ireland who provide solutions to a wide range of customer markets such as industrial, food service, pharmaceutical, healthcare, grocery, retail to name but a few. They are looking to recruit a KeyAccount Manager to join their already successful team.
**Job Title**:
- Key Account Manager
- Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to agreed existing accounts, along with prospecting and developing new opportunities within these accounts and converting inbound enquiries.
- You will engage with customers understanding their needs, building a relationship, gathering information, and providing creative solutions, with a view to generating profitable revenues all within the scope of our global strategy.
- Working with colleagues in the wider business you will support, investigate and communicate existing/ new business development in line with operational functionality.
- Ongoing product training will be a regular feature of this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Focus on nurturing and developing existing customer accounts to ensure we extract maximum value from each of them, grow sales spend, and develop margin opportunities within each account.
- Regenerate business opportunities with lapsed accounts.
- Become a true business partner to your customers through understanding their business workings, needs, and ensure that you offer / upsell the company’s extensive portfolio of stock and bespoke products.
- Be innovative in our offering and support your customer to grow their business.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all key 'stakeholders/players’ in your customer and actively working on the warm and lukewarm influencers in all functions.
- Monitor, manage and control sales costs directly associated with your accounts, (terms, rebates, discounts and transport costs etc) to ensure agreed margin targets are met.
- Ensure customer orders are processed, invoiced and managed correctly throughout, delivering expert customer service, and ensuring we exceed customer expectations.
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries on product availability, pricing structures, delivery/lead times, and the status of orders.
- Prepare quotations for customer enquiries.
- Provide product issue resolution where necessary.
- Build 'industry intelligence’ of industrial, food service & retail packaging products along with understanding environmental & sustainable product ranges.
- Understand and utilise customer provided brand guidelines/assets to create packaging designs/visuals ready for print.
- Manage the consistency of finished packaging items across various formats, substrates and print methods.
- Identify strategic product or service innovation opportunities and present to the business.
**Key Skills**:
- Fluent communicator in French and Spanish would be an advantage
- Analytical with high attention to detail in administration
- Good verbal comprehension and written communication skills
- Excellent business acumen
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure
- Inquisitive and challenging to ensure best practice for company
- Computer skills’ including Excel / Word / Outlook - Intermediate level is a minimum
- Working knowledge of Adobe systems, primarily Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign experience would be beneficial but not essential
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Previous food service industry experience
- Demonstrable excellent customer service attributes
- Flexible in approach, capable of prioritising numerous work streams
- Excellent planning, organisation and administration skills
- An effective communicator ensuring key decisions and strategies gain buy in and are delivered
- Proven Project Management skills

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum level 3 (A 'level, Btec qualication level) education
- Computer skills’ including Excel / Word / Outlook - Intermediate level is a minimum.
**Salary**:
- Up to £45,000 pa depending on experience
