Community Hosting and Support CIC is a not-for-profit specialist provider of supported accommodation to vulnerable young people aged 16 plus. We deliver quality support flexibly to all young people placed in our care in a person-centred manner. Some of our young people may be Looked After, Asylum Seekers, Care Leavers with some presenting complex needs etc.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual with a keen eye for detail to take on the role of part time Quality and Compliance Officer and Community Hosting and Support Ltd.

**Job Purpose**

To promote the highest standards of care and support services ensuring quality standards are maintained across our homes and regulations/legislation adhered to.

**The Role**

1. Responsible for ensuring that processes adhere to and comply with Ofsted regulations and standards of regulated homes for young people aged 16+.

2. Work with internal teams and managers to provide support and guidance on regulations, policies & procedures.

3. Undertake internal audits to improve quality of service quality.

4. Continuously assessing and managing compliance risk within the business.

5. Support the young people and the staff teams in their preparation for regulatory inspections and audits.

6. As appropriate, deliver or organise training sessions on the relevant areas of compliance to continuously upskill the staff team.

7. Undertake mock Ofsted inspections and prepare compliance reports and action plans.

8. Collate evidence for various inspections following various guidance as required.

9. Act as the Privacy Champion ensuring that all processes comply with GDPR.

10. Update and maintain the GDPR Data Registers for the office.

12. Manage health and safety and safeguarding compliance tracker spreadsheet for the business.

13. Regularly review and keep up to date with changes in regulatory, legislative and best practices that impact the business.

14. Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business or as may be instructed by the Registered Service Manager and the Responsible Person.

**Essential Criteria**
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, Ofsted standards and specific regulations to Health and Social Care.
- Previous experience of working in the area Social Care management or quality and compliance.
- Minimum Level 4 Health and Social Care Qualification.
- Ability to provide detailed quality reviews of performance against internal and external quality standards, providing constructive feedback for improvement
- Passion for delivering the highest quality care and support to our young people.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Confidence to escalate non-compliance issues.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure individually or within a team.
- Good working knowledge of IT Systems with experience of Microsoft Office Suite, working with databases and virtual communication platforms with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate.
- Be organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Applicants are required to have existing update service DBS due to immediate start, in the absence of this, we will carry out our own DBS check.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
