The Faculty of History is seeking to appoint a versatile and pro-active Finance Co-ordinator. This exciting position, which lies at the very heart of a large and vibrant faculty, is responsible for all aspects of financial administration. It supports and enables both daily operations and longer-term strategic aims with effective financial processes, whilst ensuring the University's financial policies and procedures are followed.

As co-ordinator of financial administration services, the role holder's remit will span the full range of financial tasks, including working across AP, AR, GL, procurement, post award grant management, processing financial transactions, monitoring and compiling reports for budget holders, and ensuring financial information is recorded accurately in the University's financial system.

The post holder will be part of a newly-created finance team working across the Faculties of History and Economics. They will be physically based in the Faculty of History, but will provide cover in the Faculty of Economics when required.
- Be educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational or equivalent level of practical experience.
- Have experience of working in a financial or administrative (preferably in HE) environment, and excellent knowledge and understanding of financial procedures.
- Have excellent IT skills, and a high level of competence in Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel.
- Have high levels of accuracy and numeracy, the ability to work independently and an outstanding attention to detail.
- Possess excellent analytical, organisational, written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and be able to work pro-actively, co-operatively and flexibly as part of a team.
