Age UK Barrow & District have secured funding to enable us to deliver a Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) programme for people with a mild to moderate diagnosis of dementia.

12 month contract, 21 hours per week, £20,020 (FTE)

Experience in working with people who have mild to moderate cognitive impairment would be an advantage, however, full training will be given.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and have experience in using Microsoft Office. You should also have experience of working in an administrative role.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- To generate and manage referrals into the Project.
- Provide induction and ongoing training for CST Facilitators to ensure staff are equipped with the appropriate knowledge, attitude and skills.
- To line manage CST Facilitators day to day, including supervision and monitoring of disciplinary and capability issues.
- To select, train and support Volunteers ensuring they undertake necessary training and have skills and resources required for their role.
- Ensure appropriate Risk Assessment of venues, venue-based activities are in place.
- Manage identified risks associated with delivery of the programme.
- Oversee initial and on-going assessments of CST participants and course place allocation by CST Facilitators.
- To take day to day responsibility for the effective and efficient running of the service ensuring that it is flexible and meets the individual customer’s needs.
- To be the local point of contact for all queries related to the programme.
- To actively promote the CST Project in the community, to meet programme targets establishing strong referral links.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Update and maintain information on in-house database/CRM system and analyse data and outcomes.
- Support Facilitators to identify and address additional needs of participants throughout duration of course.
- To produce reports when required.
- Ensure appropriate resources for the project are in place and distributed accordingly.
- Support the development of the service in conjunction with Head of Age UK Barrow.
- Ensure required monitoring of the service provision with clients is undertaken as scheduled.
- Responsible for coordinating replacement cover resulting from Facilitator absence to ensure continuity.
- Liaise with families, carers and health care professionals when required.
- Coordinate marketing & communications of the CST service to generate interest and establish a waiting list.
- Ensure service delivery is in line with relevant standards.
- Obtain, collate and evaluate feedback on sessions to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
