**The Role**

To inform, engage and inspire our Dental community, both employed and self employed through an internal communications strategy that is about our people, for our people, making them feel listened to and heard and proactively captures hearts and minds through their stories and achievements.

Our Bupa Dental culture is enabled through a considered, segmented approach to internal communications, ensuring alignment and connection with wider BUPA and to Bupa Dental Care’s purpose, strategy and values.

Through your broad and deep experience as an operational and strategic internal communications specialist, you will do this by partnering our Dental Care leadership team, especially the Executive. You will provide strategic advice and counsel, working with leaders to prioritise, ensuring communication is meaningful and timely and provide insight and recommendations so that what we do remains relevant and impactful. You’ll be the lead contact for Internal Communications representing Dental across the wider Market Unit IC community.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain an internal communications plan designed to support Bupa Dental Care’s business objectives. Drive employee engagement and advocacy through the articulation of a clear narrative told through inspiring campaigns.
- Owns communications strategy for General Manager & BDC Executive Team, partnering with senior stakeholders on all aspects of internal communication. This strategy will be aligned to external affairs plans and consider BGUK campaigns.
- Lead communications activity for BDC strategic projects and campaigns and ensures communicated is targeted to specific audiences, geographies or brands where relevant.
- Upskills and educates project teams on communications approach, planning and tactics.
- Ensure successful delivery of internal events including leadership events / Teams calls.
- Aligns with Marketing, External comms and Gov’t on key campaigns and issues. Participates in BDC Executive team meetings, offsites and planning days. Is a member of the People Leadership Team.
- Ensures Employee Value Proposition and Dental Health Is business strategy is embedded in communication plans.
- Overall accountability for Practice Health Magazine including the themes and overall content, managing external suppliers / agencies as needed to provide design, editorial, production or distribution services to make sure that the work provided is of the right standard,on brand and agreed timings.
- Has a clear understanding of what matters to our people, overseeing the measurement of the effectiveness of our communications and internal campaigns.
- Partners with the brand team to ensure all our communication is consistently delivered in the BDC tone of voice and embodies our purpose and values.
- Has ‘ear to the ground’ knowledge and understanding of colleague mood, voice, as well as using internal communications tools to measure outcomes. Overall accountability for effective, tailored channels and storytelling that is managed by the team.
- Challenges the status quo through continuously seeking new ideas, tools and digital innovation, bringing best practice into BDC to ensure our channels and content is exciting, fresh and relevant so that we can create award-winning communications.
- Has a strong understanding of how to engage disparate and diverse audiences who are not desk-based and is able to use measurement metrics to drive continual improvement.
- Be the contact for issues management and crisis situations, or provide relevant resource from the team to support the business.

**Skills/Experience**
- Recognise and demonstrable excellence in internal communications, ideally experience of delivering communications for remote, hard to reach audiences and a multi-brand setting.
- Proven ability to understand complex communication issues and recognise business-wide implications.
- Proven track record in working directly with senior stakeholders, providing advice and counsel, with the confidence to influence and negotiate where deliverables and outcomes may be conflicting.
- Able to inspire and deliver through others including peers, outside of formal/traditional corporate hierarchies and structures.
- Significant experience of working across functions and business in complex, matrix organisations.
- Experience of using a range of multi-media communications tools and packages.
- Experience in event design and delivery.
