**Support Worker/Personal Assistant - Jedburgh Area**

This is a varied and interesting position with lots of fun and outings for the right person. A cheerful,

competent and reliable carer required to join the team supporting a lady with MS, and who uses a

wheelchair.

The lady is mentally agile, young at heart, adventurous and spirited. She loves dogs and horses and

country life and being taken out in the car for activities so a driver is essential.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
- The current vacancy is for approximately 18 hours per week. Hours of work vary, with a

couple of days between 9.00am to 3.00pm, and with some evening support too. Days and
- There is a chance of more hours if you are available.
- The role includes supporting the client with all aspects of her daily routine and enabling her

to live a full and active life.
- Duties include assisting the client with personal care, meals, housework, driving the client to

activities and some admin tasks.

**Personal Attributes**
- Experience with moving & handling would be beneficial however training can be provided.
- Must hold a driving licence, and be happy to drive clients’ own car.
- Caring and sensitive to the problems disability can bring.
- Cheerful and self-motivated with a good sense of humour.
- Honest, reliable and confidential.
- Lover of animals would be advantageous.
- Good Communicator.

**The Terms**
- £13.00 per hour - due to be reviewed in April 2024.
- 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.
