**About this opportunity**
- The Capital Programme team is responsible for the core delivery of the Council’s c.£60m/year Capital Programme developing projects which make a real ‘on the ground’ difference to our communities, places and people in Westmorland and Furness. On a daily basis the programme develops and maintains new council buildings including care homes, schools, community centres and offices; construct’s and maintains highways and cycleways; builds new flood defences and drives the council’s decarbonisation programme for its services.
- This role will support the Capital Programme team by helping to provide programme, planning and cost monitoring support to the annual highways maintenance programme delivered by the sustainable transport and highways service.
- You can expect to work in a high performing team with likeminded individuals. You can also expect high amounts of accountability and responsibility to help the whole team deliver multi-million pound projects for Westmorland and Furness Council.
