Are you a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Support Worker who has worked within Hospital Settings? Do you have an all-round knowledge of hospital pharmaceutical procedures?

NHS Professionals have exciting opportunities for a Pharmacy Support Worker with experience to support our client trusts. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effective service.

The John Radcliffe Hospital (JR) is Oxfordshire's main accident and emergency site. The JR provides acute medical and surgical services including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services. It is situated in Headington, about three miles east of Oxford city centre. It is the largest of the Trust's hospitals, covering around 66 acres.

The John Radcliffe site also houses many departments of Oxford University Medical School, is home to the George Pickering Education Centre and base for most medical students who are trained throughout the Trust.

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**:
To dispense inpatient, outpatient, Discharge (TTO), clinical trial and controlled drug prescriptions according to dispensary procedures.

To use the Pharmacy Computer system to produce dispensing labels and to make stock issues, receipt and transfers.

To assist the Stock Management Team with unpacking deliveries and filling the automated dispensing system.

To be responsible for putting away dispensing stock including part packs and maintaining tidy storage areas.

To become involved with ward dispensing i.e. dispensing non-stock supply on an individual patient basis, the preparation of emergency boxes and the ward top up service.

Experience of working in a pharmacy dispensary - mandatory.

Able to commit to full-time hours.

Qualifications required NVQ Level 2.
