Accounts Payable Assistant

There are exciting times ahead in the Shared Service Centre for P2P as we evolve our service model to a more efficient, streamlined, global function. There will be lots of opportunities for you to develop as you lead your team through the challenges ahead, with the support of a driven and passionate network of peers and leadership team.
What you'll do:
- Processes of PO & Non-PO invoices/ credits including exception management
- in line with SLA’s (service level agreements) across UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
- Handling queries via Sysaid and Invoice management mailboxes providing timely resolution
- Manage daily workload and reporting for the full team on a rotational basis
- Ensuring compliance with company controls, policies and procedures
- Continuously challenging existing processes to propose and implement continuous improvement and help drive efficiencies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders for all markets
- Manage escalated and unresolved issues through calls or meeting with suppliers and stakeholders
- Other Accounts Payable work as required including, supplier reconciliations, KPI reports and contributing towards continuous improvement goals.
What you'll bring:
- You will already have knowledge of Accounts Payable processes in a high-volume environment and have worked in a similar role, which will help you fit right in
- Great record of providing excellent service to customers with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic/intermediate excel knowledge required and good IT skills preferably, VIM/SAP
- Attention to detail
- Background in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) or ICC (invoice scanning) is advantageous but not essential
- German language skills are essential for this role
