We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Patient Safety Administrator to provide high quality administrative support to a busy Patient Safety Team.

The postholder will read, hear and respond to staff/families about serious incidents which have caused harm and sometimes result in a person dying. The information is very sensitive and can be distressing. The postholder will work as a team and be fully supported.

The role will require a high degree of organisational skills and administrative experience.

This assignment is between 3 - 6 months and hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

You will be working on aBank (0 hour base) contract with staffing solutions.

**Weekday**: £15.12 (£13.44 per hour plus 12.5% of annual leave)

**Night/Saturday**: £19.66 per hour(inclusive of 12.5% annual leave uplift WTD)

**Sunday/ Bank Holiday**: £24.19 per hour(inclusive of 12.5% annual leave uplift WTD)

As a Band 4 Patient Safety Administrator you will be required to provide Admin support which may include the following tasks.

The post holder will be required to work as part of the Patient Safety Team and provide cross cover with the other administrators in the wider Quality and Risk Team during periods of staff absence.

- To use a variety of software packages such as the local incident management system, patient record systems and Microsoft Office (MS) to include Microsoft Teams etc. to produce correspondence, maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases.
- Prepare agendas and papers for Patient Safety Team meetings and forward planning of the Patient Safety Incident Investigation panel meetings, Executive sign of meetings and Incident Learning Huddles.
- Attend regular meetings to take comprehensive and accurate minutes and record actions.
- Proof reading investigation reports as requested for formatting and typos. Convert finalised reports into patient/ family friendly versions.
- Responsible for printing and posting finalised investigation reports.
- Arrange 4 weekly supervision and annual PDRs for Patient Safety Team. Manage the diary of the Patient Safety Service Manager as required.
- Ensure that the local incident management system is updated as the central repository for Patient Safety Incident Investigation data. Including logging incidents, action plans, sending out action reminders as appropriate, storing evidence of completed actions, adding Integrated Care Board (ICB)-commissioner due dates, submission dates, and running reports from the system.
- Assist in the maintenance and ordering of stationery/stock items within the team.
- The post-holder will also be required to complete any other administrative tasks required to support the team in a timely manner.
- To work flexibly with other administrative staff within the wider Quality and Risk Team and provide cover in their absence.
- To build and maintain good relationship across directorates.
- Assist in the booking of training, study days and workshops.
- Liaise directly with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) for reporting of incidents.
- To maintain MS Teams spreadsheet and other databases such as the national system-STEIS and analyse data on a weekly/ monthly basis.
- Suggest and make recommendations for improvement to the local incident management system and processes used by the Patient Safety Team.
