Trainee Floor Layer

This job would suit a applicant who has had previous experience in the commercial or domestic flooring trade or the construction industry, But is not essential

As well as General Driving & labouring duties you will learn everything from carpet, vinyl, lvt, latexing, subfloor preparation to capping and coving and tiling.

Our flooring professionals will teach you how to use their materials and products that are used daily in the flooring industry.

Alongside the practical work carried out there will be a opportunity to attend a flooring courses for NVQ 2 in floor coverings.

**Requirements**:

- Current clean driving licence
- be able to get to and from work for early starts
- We are looking for someone dedicated and enthusiastic.
- Good timekeeping and attendance are required

You need to be physically fit and able to carry materials and unload tools each day, so a high level of stamina is required and the natural desire to succeed in the flooring trade As you are working in customers premises, you will need to have good communication skills to interact with customers, be honest and reliable and show good attention to detail.

It is not essential that you have your own transport, however this will be to your advantage as you will be required to make you way to our head office each morning prior to comencement of work.

Working hours will vary depending on the nature of the job you are on. Generally the working day will start at 8.00am Monday - 5.00pm Friday. Some weekend and out of hours work are required.

**Salary**: Up to £24,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
