A leading provider of specialist IT and Curriculum support for schools is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - to join their team covering the Enfield area.

Their company provides schools with the confidence, stability, and passion to deliver and Teach IT.

As a consequence of their rapid growth, the company is looking to recruit an HLTA to join its growing team. You will support the Computing Lead to provide the Computing curriculum to all of their schools mostly in Enfield Borough, North London.

As well as relevant experience, you will have a flexible and can-do approach to whatever tasks you may be asked to fulfil, the ability to work well with others, and the confidence to use your initiative when required. You will be supported by the CurriculumComputing Lead but at times independent working may be required.

**About the role:**

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Computing Support is responsible for supporting the Computing teacher in the delivery of the Computing curriculum and for providing extra support to students who need it. The HLTA will work closely with theComputing Lead to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective Computing lessons, and will be responsible for leading and delivering Computing lessons in the teacher's absence. Computing experience is not essential, you will be trained and supported inthis role, as long as you have a general interest in Computing and are keen to learn new things.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective Computing lessons and robotics/Digital Leader clubs under the guidance of the Computing teacher
- Lead and deliver Computing lessons/clubs in the teacher's absence
- Provide support to individual students and small groups of students who need extra help with Computing
- Plan and deliver interventions for students who are struggling academically in Computing
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the Computing teacher
- Manage and support other Computing teaching assistants
- Attend and contribute to Computing departmental meetings
- Participate in professional development opportunities in Computing
- Any other Computing related duties as required
- To maintain discipline in accordance with the schools' procedures, and to encourage good practice with regards to behaviour and standards of work.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- HLTA Status
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A passion for Computing education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of students
