We have exciting opportunities to join the Trustwide Waiting List Team, with your base being at Pilgrim Hospital. We are looking to recruit staff to support the service and currently have part time hours available.

Your role will entail managing the day to day running of the waiting lists, ensuring theatre lists are booked to the required parameters where you will work closely with the business units, pre-assessment, wards and the theatre team along with others to ensure the patients journey through theatre is a smooth as possible.

To facilitate an efficient, effective and responsive administrative support including Admission and pre-assessment procedures and maintenance of waiting lists.

To ensure patients receive appointments (Inpatient/Day Case and Outpatient) in line with all National, Trust and in-house policies.

To maintain a high standard of quality in providing the Choice & Access Service, supporting patient’s, clinical staff and the Trust in achieving their goals.

To produce high quality patient information for the Trust to enable maximum use of resources and to support service level agreements and planning of future service.

The main duties will be to assist the Trust in planning theatre dates for our patients across the county, achieving Choice & Access targets by ensuring theatre lists are fully utilised, and giving priority to long wait patients and those cancelled on the day.

You will ensure patients receive all relevant information in a timely and effective way and work with the teams to ensure that we are working in line with the current COVID restrictions.

You will ensure all data relating to patients is captured in a timely and accurate manner whilst maintaining data protection guidelines.
