An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and support the transformation programmes of work in Pathology at UHSussex; to support the implementation of the future configuration of merged pathology services within the Trust, the regional work of the Sussex Pathology Network (NS7) and delivery of continuous service improvement. The post-holder will support the Head of Pathology and Service and Clinical Leads in the delivery of the pathology programme. Their work will include providing visible, transparent expertise of the change management process and advice and guidance which will inform others of the programme of work from initiation through to delivery. This will include providing evidence of the successful completion and realisation of project outcomes and benefits.
- Undertake frequent face-to-face, written, verbal and electronic communications with a range of stakeholders, at Director and Executive level and with Senior Management teams, Clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Be responsible for the planning and organisation of numerous events and meetings, ensuring communication is clear and concise and information is circulated i.e. minutes, agenda and presentations in a timely way.
- Co-ordinate and implement delivery of the Programme by:

- Using highly developed influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams across both Trusts, such that they understand and work to achieve service performance expectations.
- Using highly developed intellectual skills to “see things differently”, look beyond existing structures, ways of working, boundaries and organisations to produce more effective and innovative performance delivery in alignment with the strategic direction.
- Being responsible for managing the communications within and engagement of stakeholders (internal/external) through the life cycle of the various programmes and responsible for reporting progress appropriately to pathology leadership, Division, Executives and other key stakeholders.

**The post-holder’s key relationships will be with**:
**Internal**: Trust Boards, Clinical Director, Head of Pathology, Heads of Service and Clinical Leads, Trust Directors and Executives, Divisional Director of Operations, Divisional Chiefs and Managers / other senior healthcare professionals/divisional and department Heads, Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and Estates leads, staff side representatives and organisations.

**External**: Commissioners/ICS, customers of Pathology, NHSEI, service providers and external agencies supporting the strategic direction and procurements, eg design and procurement consultants, Network Programme Director, other network managers.
