The Philanthropic Awards Officer is a newly created position where you will play an important role in providing mutual value to our funders, students, alumni, honorary graduates, and the University.

You will be responsible for managing the department’s philanthropically funded opportunities for students and academic colleagues, such as scholarships, experience and employability funds, and postgraduate and research opportunities.
- Great communication skills that promotes and develops strong relationships
- Administrative and organisational skills with excellent time management
- Experience of organising and running events both online and in-person
- An ongoing openness to learn and develop your knowledge

The Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Department believes in the power of building relationships and partnerships with our valued alumni and supporters. And, in providing them with the opportunity to offer gifts of time, experiences and funding, which provide transformational experiences for our students and deliver impactful and world-leading research at the university.

This is a part-time, permanent post, working 30 hours per week and can take advantage of our hybrid working policy. This role will require travel to other university sites and to meet with potential and existing supporters away from campus and Brighton & Hove. There will also be some events in the evenings and at weekends in support of the wider work of the department.
