**About the role**:
This specialist school is working with Vision for Education to recruit a dedicated and passionate Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their school. This is a full time/long term role, meaning the appointed Unqualified Teaching Assistant will be working between the hours of 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. As part of your role as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will be working with and supporting children and young people who have severe and profound complex needs. This will include working in small classrooms to work closely with pupils who require extra support, assisting with personal care when required and also assisting with break and lunch times which may include feeding some pupils who can not do this without extra support.

This SEND school, located in Sunderland, supports children and young people aged between 3 and 12 who have severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Unqualified Teaching Assistant you will:
- Must have enhanced DBS registered on the update service/ be willing to go through the DBS process if do not already hold certificate
- Must be passionate about the progress of SEND pupils
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be kind, caring and compassionate
