An exciting opportunity for a well organised & personable IT Service Desk Apprentice to join our Willerby site (HU10 6EB).

**General**

Based in Willerby offices (HU10 6EB) this is a small, highly functioning team of individuals with warm & friendly personalities. They work hard to produce a high standard of work, are treated well & enjoy their working days. We have 3 sites across the UK which you will be supporting - Willerby, Howden & Brighton. Some travel across sites will be required from time to time.

You'll bring a positive, flexible 'can do' approach & attitude, good organisational & IT skills to this role. You will learn alongside working, to enable you to develop your abilities & confidence. You will need to communicate clearly & concisely with different stakeholders.

This is a **full time/permanent** role working Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm with 1hr daily unpaid for breaks.

**Main tasks**

This will include:

- Installing, maintaining, testing and repairing various systems and networks
- Using in house & bespoke systems to resolve queries
- Problem solving
- To work independently but also as part of a small team
- Be a point of contact for our internal colleagues giving high standards of customer service
- Accurate data entry onto the in-house system
- General office IT & administration tasks; Including using word and excel & other programmes
- Be on hand for other duties as required
- Some experience of working in a busy and varied customer focused environment
- Ability to deal with difficult customer situations
- Have good planning, organisational and numeracy
- Ability to work to own initiative
- Remain calm under pressure, with a can-do attitude
- Well presented
- Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

Within this role, you'll provide excellent customer service to end users ensuring that incidents, requests and problems are resolved in an efficient and professional manor, always ensuring that customers are updated on job progress and are left satisfied.

You will have the opportunity to expand your technical skills by supporting some challenging and interesting products and technologies, as well as completing a Level 2/3 Customer Service apprenticeship. Progression will be reviewed with an aim to complete the Customer Service apprenticeship & enroll/complete a Level 3 IT Apprenticeship.

**What we are looking for in your skills and experience**:

- An interest in developing a career in IT
- Advantageous - full UK driving license (or a willingness to achieve this)
- Ideally some basic IT knowledge, which may include using: technologies such as Windows operating systems and office 365
- Great customer service skills

Whilst the above provides an idea of the type of person we're looking for, we do provide on the job training and development.

**Entry requirements**:
The entry requirements for this IT Service Desk Apprentice role are as follows:

- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the program. In this instance you could still be considered for the program.
