**Job Description** Job Title**: Administration Assistant
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: 40 hours per week
**Job Location**: Consett
**Salary**: Circa £25k
**Job Overview**:
As an Administration Assistant in our materials testing office, you will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions. This role demands high efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- ** Database Management**: Efficiently use our bespoke database for job bookings, generating worksheets, and typing results for management approval.
- ** Financial Administration**: Collate and generate monthly overtime sheets, internal charge sheets, monthly credit card summaries, petty cash management, and credit note requests.
- ** Telephone Handling**: Operate a multi-line switchboard, directing calls quickly and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
- ** Visitor Management**: Welcome visitors, ensure they are signed in, have read the necessary Health & Safety information, and direct them to the inspector’s office if needed. Inform staff of visitor arrivals and maintain the inspector's office with refreshments and clean cups.
- ** Reception Duties**: Handle parcel deliveries and perform other general reception and telephone duties.
- ** Purchase Orders**: Generate purchase orders using our bespoke system and send them to the appropriate line manager for approval.
**Qualifications** Required Skills and Experience**:
- ** Administrative Experience**: Proven experience working in a fast-paced office environment with strong administrative skills.
- ** Customer Service**: Excellent customer service skills for handling interactions with visitors and callers professionally.
- ** Technical Proficiency**: Competent user of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ** Organizational Skills**: Ability to work methodically and maintain strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
