**Site Maintenance Officer - Grade 4 £21,575-£21,968 Pro Rata 7:30 am
- 1:30 pm Monday to Friday (52 weeks with 5 weeks holiday)**

St. Mary’s catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a hardworking and dedicated part time Grade 4 Site Maintenance Officer to join our team starting September 2023.

As a Grade 4 Site Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school premises. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness, safety and functionality of the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds and lunch/sport halls.
- Identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly, such as plumbing, electrical and structural problems.
- Managing and organising school supplies, equipment and inventory, ensuring they are readily available for staff and pupils.
- Co-ordinating with external vendors and contractors for repairs, renovations and other maintenance
- related projects.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of school events, including parent-teacher meetings, sports days and other events.
- Implementing and adhering to health and safety protocol, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in facility maintenance, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance, practices, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and grounds keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils and external contractors.
- A proactive and solution
- oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.
