About Us: We are a dedicated and compassionate organization committed to providing exceptional care and support to children in a residential setting in Worthing, West Sussex. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Support Workers.

Working a mixed shift pattern of earlies, lates and sleep ins. 1 sleep in per week is required.

Position Overview: As a Support Worker in our children's residential setting, you will play a crucial role in making a positive difference in the lives of the children under our care. You will provide emotional support, guidance, and encouragement to help them develop essential life skills and reach their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing day-to-day care and support to children aged 5-18 in a residential setting.
- Building meaningful relationships with the children, promoting a sense of security and trust.
- Assisting with daily activities, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and educational support.
- Implementing individual care plans and therapeutic interventions as required.
- Participating in recreational and educational activities to promote social and emotional development.
- Maintaining accurate records of observations and progress.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of the children.
- Adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and their families.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
