We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Community Learning Tutor to join Newport Adult Community Learning (ACL) team to provide a lead role in developing the curriculum and support the delivery of the Multiply project.

'Through the Multiply programme, the UK Government is investing over £100m into Wales to help transform the lives of adults across Wales by improving their functional numeracy skills through free personal tutoring, digital training, and flexible courses.'

The Multiply initiative will deliver high quality, innovative functional numeracy interventions that meet the needs of local people and the national aims for Multiply.

The Community Learning Tutor, Multiply will develop and implement a range of numeracy courses both non-accredited and accredited to meet the requirements of the Multiply project and provide support the multiply delivery team.

The post will be responsible for creating a flexible and adaptable functional numeracy-based courses to engage and stimulate learners to attain and progress. In addition will be responsible for preparing schemes of work, creating appropriate resources and session plans for the specific courses ensuring that creative, flexible and adaptable, ensuring courses are delivered to the agreed quality in both course content and teaching and work with other internal and external partners to ensure the required quality and accreditation procedures are in place.
