**Job Description**:
Home Instead Oxford are looking for a confident individual with a ‘get up and go’ attitude to join our team as a **Community Engagement Officer**, on a part-time basis**.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will passionately champion our brand and the values of our business. You will connect with colleagues, clients and the wider community through face-to-face community networking and digital marketing strategies.

Additional Information
**The role will involve**:

- Developing wide reaching community relationships through implementing projects and events in the local area that appeal to specified target audiences
- Using the company's social media profile across several platforms, creating engaging organic content that maintains the Home Instead brand
- Collaborating with the Recruitment and Operations team to drive brand awareness in the area both online and in person
- Networking with organisations, businesses and local groups in the area, finding opportunities to partner on projects and engaging new audiences
- Carrying out strategies to increase both client and recruitment enquiries
- Researching and connecting with local groups, charities and businesses who share the values of Home Instead
- Plan and execute regular community marketing events including attending market fairs, recruitment events, memory cafes and any other events that would promote our services to the public
- Accurately recording and tracking new leads and existing relationships in order to tailor your strategy to individual needs
- Proactively assessing the needs of the community through market research both online and in person and working to meet those needs through community offerings
- Adjusting your networking approach to best suit community stakeholders and potential external partners
- Delivering training sessions and awareness presentations both internally and to a wide range of community stakeholders
- Support and as appropriate lead group sessions at memory cafes, singing groups, carers groups and the like

**Essential Skills**:

- A confident public speaker who is able to lead group sessions
- Experience using Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- A sense of creativity, with knowledge of using Canva or other software design packages desirable
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- An organised person who can work independently as well as in a team
- Willing to undertake relevant training to increase knowledge and offerings
- Some local area knowledge. Our territory covers Oxford, Witney, Carterton, Burford, Kidlington and surrounding areas
- Flexibility to occasionally attend events/meetings at the weekend and weekday evenings, according to requirements
- Prepared to undertake relevant professional development in the care sector, for example dementia training
- Friendly, caring and compassionate

Experience of working with older people and those living with dementia would be desirable. A driving licence is also preferred for this role to effectively network and outreach within the community.

This role will be part-time, 16-20 hours per week. We are flexible with the days and times to suit you, however some flexibility is desirable to attend events and meetings according to the need of the business.

Salary range: £22,000 - £24,000 FTE
