**The role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Space Officer to join our state of the art universities Estates & Facilities Department. As a Space Officer, you will be responsible for the tracking, managing and ordering the university's FF&E, this includes working with furniture suppliers, mapping existing furniture across the university estate, and the planning, coordination, and execution of FF&E installation projects.

The Space Officer will act as the Universities expert for all furniture and space planning related matters. The role involves client and supplier liaison, working with supplier to create design briefs, space planning, the scoping of projects, the tender and pricing of projects, the project approval process, and the management of the order process from quotation to installation and post-occupancy evaluation.

The confidence to work directly with the senior leadership of the university and ability to deliver projects will also form a key part of this role as you also be responsible for delivering parts or all of a project to time, cost, and quality, liaising and communicating with client stakeholders, providing feedback to the Head of Estates and Facilities and ensuring workmanship/professional standards are maintained.

It is expected that this role will be a hybrid role. Weekend and evening working will be required.
