**Khalili Research Centre, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, St John Street, Oxford.**

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Administrator in the Khalili Research Centre for the Art and Material Culture of the Middle East. This is an opportunity to perform a central role in the functioning of a vibrant research centre, and to support the Centre’s academics, visitors and students with a varied range of queries.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for organising and supporting the KRC’s events and communications, managing the Centre’s accounts, and its premises, including adjoining accommodation. You will also provide support for graduate admissions and course information

You will have experience of administration and/or service delivery in an office environment, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to plan and organise events from inception to completion. You will be able to evidence the ability to initiate and carry through projects with mínimal face to face supervision, and the willingness to work flexibly with other team members on a wide range of tasks. Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, are essential, as is numeracy and a willingness to develop your basic accounting skills.

The post holder will be based at the KRC’s building in St John Street, in Central Oxford, and is full-time. In aiming to provide a family friendly working environment we will be happy to discuss with shortlisted applicants opportunities for flexibility in working arrangements.
