More detail about the role The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a suitable individual to the position of Trust Grade Fellow / Registrar in Gastroenterology and General Medicine. This is an ideal post for doctors who have completed Core Medical Training and / or Internal Medicine Training and wish to develop an interest in gastroenterology and general (internal) medicine in their early years at registrar level. You will gain valuable clinical experience caring for patients with a wide range of conditions, delivering high quality care and working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in delivering inpatient and outpatient medical and gastroenterological care on an independent basis. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy through supervised training, under the aegis of the JAG Endoscopy Training Scheme. There is an on-call commitment to the general medical rota at registrar level. You will have a Clinical Supervisor who will support you throughout the post to help you deliver care whilst gaining the most from educational opportunities.
