Facilities Manager

Having promoted several members of their FM function, our client is seeking a forward-thinking Facilities Manager to join the team on a mixed-use estate in east London. This creative, cosmopolitan hub is a mix of office space and unique leisure/retail amenities,with a real sense of vibrancy and character to it, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of real estate in London.
Having promoted their last FM to a Senior FM position, you will take up the mantle and join the established team in providing a top-tier total FM service to your tenants. Whilst this is a site-based role, there will be an element of flexibility and opportunityto work from home too.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the daily operational running of the estate, with support from the Assistant Estate Manager;
- Overseeing the management of contractors across both hard and soft service suppliers;
- Ensuring statutory compliance throughout the development;
- Ensuring the effective planned and reactive maintenance for building plant and fabric, as well as public realm;
- Liaising with tenants with regard to their service requests, and building a lasting rapport with key representatives;
- Undertaking regular inspections of the properties on site;
- Assisting with the setting and management of service charge budgets.
As the successful applicant, you'll have demonstrated a solid base of total FM experience managing common parts of buildings, whether as part of a single-site or wider estate. You'll be able to demonstrate the ability to make decisions proactively and independentlyand support your broader experience with an IOSH qualification.
