**Purpose of the role**:
Croftstone is a key player in the rail and infrastructure sector, and our clients include prominent organisations such as Network Rail, Transport for London and Tier 1 contractors. As our Senior Cost Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic sectors.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Produce accurate cost estimates, of both capital and lifecycle cost, reflecting the project scope and timescales, to a consistent format and quality
- Enable project costs and performance to be more reliably compared and Benchmarked
- Accurately validate suppliers’ and contractors’ cost estimates
- Provide efficient tools and processes that enable timely and consistent production of estimates to a common standard
- Cost estimates may also be prepared during the execution phase to validate contractors cost forecasts and contract changes

**Expected skills and experience**:

- Sound understanding of the context in which projects are to be delivered. - Technically experienced in all aspects of their profession
- Understanding of clients requirements for producing assured Cost Plans.
- Wide and varied experience of large and complex infrastructure/construction projects.
- Relevant successful experience of provision of Estimating services in a large project environment either in contracting or consulting organisation.
- Understanding of project management, planning risk, and investment processes.

**Expected qualifications**:

- Chartered Quantity Surveyor or equivalent in relevant discipline, or hold lower qualification, but minimum 10 years experience Rail/Transpor
