The International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) is a diverse and international network of heritage Trusts from across the globe. Together we exchange expertise, best practice and share resources. International heritage organisations can become membersof the INTO network to inspire and learn from one another.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Manager to join the team to create professional communications content in support of INTO activity, from events to our online presence, including social media.

This role is offered as 0.8 FTE on a one-year fixed term basis. We would consider an FTE range between 0.6 - 1.0

Internally this role is currently known as INTO Communications and Projects Manager. Please see the attached Context document for further explanation.

We’re a fast-paced and growing team and we want to continue to spread the word of the National Trust movement around the world.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing Using your broad range of communications skills, you’ll take ownership for content creation and be the face of INTO to the broader public. You’ll manage INTO's external communications, ensuring social media content is relevant and well targeted to conveythe right messages to INTO's international audiences, as well as identify opportunities to collaborate on campaigns. You’ll respond creatively to briefs by creating content, this will include leading discussions with external freelancers from briefing stagethrough to delivery.

You’ll lead on communications around INTO events. From designing marketing collateral to producing communications updates to attendees, you’ll ensure INTO events are well publicised and recorded through INTO content.

You’ll take ownership of INTO's website management ensuring content is up to date and relevant for our audiences. Managing the review of content, search engine optimisation, and general site health, escalating to our web developers when necessary.

There will also be opportunity to work on projects with key INTO partners, preparing communications and reporting documents for funders, telling the story of our work

- A strong interest in communications and a hunger for developing skills and experience in this area
- Knowledge of media and digital platforms with knowledge of how to create good digital content
- Strong written and verbal skills, with experience of drafting communications materials
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task across several concurrent tasks
- Creativity in your approach to communications with the ability to suggest new responses
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong time and task management skills
