**Assessor Team Leader**

Food Integrity Assurance (FIA) provide assessment and certification services on behalf of key clients including Quality Meat Scotland, Scottish Quality Crops, LEAF and WES, supporting over 13,000 agricultural businesses throughout Scotland.

We are seeking to employ a full-time assessor Team Leader for South of Scotland area, with demonstrable experience within the livestock and crops sectors and/or the certification industry, to join our expanding team in managing the delivery of the requirements for the Schemes owned by Quality Meat Scotland and Scottish Quality Crops.

Reporting to the Technical Manager the successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and proactive work ethic. They will be confident in handling key relationships with scheme members, field-based assessor team, certification and technical team colleagues and external clients. A full training program will be provided for the role which is a full-time position commanding a very competitive salary in combination with a hybrid/field-based working model which includes car allowance, laptop, mobile phone, travelling expenses and recovery time framework. Ongoing training and career development is encouraged and supported by the FIA Management Team.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Provide technical support and training to the current field-based assessor team and new assessors in conjunction with the Technical Manager on an on-going basis and especially during the implementation of new standards
- Conduct farm assessments and witnessed assessments in line with scheduled requirements
- Provide priority assessment response where a critical risk has been identified
- Provide cover to undertake evaluation and certification of assessment reports when required
- Where relevant undertake line management duties for Full Time assessor resource
- Represent FIA to provide technical guidance to client forums such as Standard Setting Bodies and other relevant committees where required
- As a member of the assessor management team, assist in monitoring assessment delivery KPIs and proactively identify potential risks to delivery including the development of training requirements as part of the Assessor Monitoring Program
- Assist the FIA management team to develop new services to complement and enhance those which FIA offer

**Salary**: From £38,000.00 per year
