**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Motivate and manage a team of MTOs to achieve, and where possible exceed, all performance objectives. Record performance reports and make recommendations for improvements
- Monitor performance, timekeeping, attendance, overtime and sickness levels of team and action as per procedures. Carry out team member appraisals in line with agreed schedule
- Effectively manage resources to achieve KPI’s (quality, service, absence).
- Ensure a proactive approach to Health and Safety and compliance with relevant policies
- Ensure all product is handled correctly to avoid damage. Support with non-conformance investigations and report back to the Quality Manager / Line Manager as applicable
- Be committed to continuous development in line with operational needs, constantly striving for increased efficiency, productivity, and growth.
- Maintain two-way communication with team members
- Provide a responsive and professional service to customers, attending customer meetings where required to fully understand their business
- Monitor and action IT reports and requests,
- Carry out Personal Development Reviews (PDRs) to agreed schedule
- Update and maintain all processes and work instructions, ensuring all staff are fully trained, in line with internal training requirements
- Act as key holder for designated site(s) as required
- Deputise for the Team Manager or other Team Leaders as required
- Maintain stock accuracy/integrity to contractual level and target continuous improvement in accuracy levels

**Skills and Experience**:

- Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service
- A proactive, flexible and "can do" attitude to resolve issues and challenges
- The individual needs to be able to demonstrate attention to detail and an accurate and precise way of working
- PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required
- Demonstrate good team motivation and communication skills
- Flexibility is required regarding shift patterns
- Possess a positive attitude and the ability to suggest methods of improvement and be actively involved in improvement techniques
- Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided
- Good use of Six Sigma and Lean techniques
- Ability to train others to a high standard
- Compliance with manual handling procedures
