Recroot are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our client based with Liverpool City Council.

This role is starting 23rd August, working 35 hours a week in an ongoing contract.

Occupational Therapy Assistant required to complete telephone assessments at front door to OT service, as part of triage and referral taking process.

**Main Areas of Responsibility**:

- To be first point of contact for individuals with disabilities and their carers the use of equipment and/or adaptations provided.
- Assess the needs of individuals with disabilities within the City Council’s eligibility criteria and the relevant legislation within service level agreement. To recommend and organise the supply of equipment and adaptations to meet the assessed need. This will include utilising appropriate Technology.
- To liaise with other professionals, statutory, voluntary, community resources and other stakeholders to ensure that the best possible services are provided for the individual and their carers within available resources.
- Have knowledge of and comply with the statutory obligation of the City Council and have an up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework and responsibilities relevant to the specialism of the post.
- Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out necessary administrative procedures, including written reports/plans, within agreed service standards.
- To work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered with an emphasis on supporting collaborative working.
- Use of information technology as supplied by the City Council.
- Utilise appropriate training and development opportunities, participating in your own development.

**Salary**: £17.04-£21.31 per hour
