Simply Education is excited to be working in partnership with local SEND and SEMH provisions in Cheshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and talented Psychology graduates to going our team as teaching assistants within our provisions.
Within our schools we take a pastoral approach to learning to build our students rapport and promote their engagement in learning. Our settings are inclusive of all our students needs including Autism, ADHD and aspects of behaviour. The successful Psychology graduate must be confident in their approach, resilient and the ability to build rapport with our young people.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit to full time hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 3:30) as the consistency for our students is priority. Within your day you may be working with a small group of students or on a 1:1 basis to support students to access their learning or develop life skills.
I you are a recent Psychology Graduate looking for your first school-based role our opportunities will provide you with consistent days to utilise your new knowledge and expertise whilst making a positive impact in our students educational Journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the students' Tutor to deliver high-quality bespoke learning opportunities that focus on the students' interests and vocational studies, as well as functional skills in English and Maths.
- Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning.
- Model and promote high behaviour expectations.
- Communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them.
- Work closely with the students' Tutor to Prepare the students for life beyond school.
Key Requirements:
- An understanding of working with disengaged students.
- Knowledge and understanding of vocational education.
- Strong communication skills.
- Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
