16-year-old Tommy has found himself in a police cell after becoming involved with the wrong crowd and getting arrested for robbery. He's also been excluded from school and has no hope for a brighter future.

Fast forward 2 years and he hasn't stepped foot in a police station since. He has started an apprenticeship in carpentry and because of you is keen to turn his life around.

**About the role**
- Working with a student on a 1:1 basis, either in their home or a suitable venue arranged and risk assessed by the company.
- Planning and delivering education-based or life skills sessions, tailored to the student’s needs and interests.
- Delivering 2-5 sessions per week, each session lasting between 3-5 hours. Sessions will take place between 9am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (days and times will be arranged with you before placement starts).

**The students**
- They are vulnerable and the majority have various SEN and/or SEMH needs.
- Difficulty with emotional regulation, which can result in challenging behaviours.
- Their needs make it difficult for them to access mainstream school and therefore they may have been out of education for some time.
- Students referred to us range from 5 - 25 years old. You will be matched to students based on your specialisms and expertise.

**What you need to apply**
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people with SEN, barriers to learning (e.g. challenging behaviours) and/or those with negative experiences impacting their mental health (e.g. trauma, SEMH needs).
- Experience delivering or supporting Numeracy and Literacy at secondary or primary levels.
- Consistent availability to commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per week (2 working days).
- A commitment to keeping children and young people safe, as well as a practical and up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
