**Location**:Princes House, London Road, Reading a minimum of 3 days per week out of 5, including Fridays (normal office hours 09:00-17:00)

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest general hospital foundation trusts in the country. We provide acute medical and surgical services to Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and specialist services such as cancer, dialysis, and eye surgery to a wider population across Berkshire and its borders.

The Trust is made up of 7 locations with the Royal Berkshire Hospital being the main site.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide ER advice and support to line managers on a wide range of issues working within ER policies and procedures, including organisational change issues, job evaluation, redeployment and equality and diversity
- Work with line managers to problem solve and identify solutions to individual employee situations (flexible working, terms and conditions, family leave, grievances and bullying and harassment)
- Under the direction of the Associate Director for Resourcing and Employment and/or People and Change Partners, provide support in the implementation of organisational change programmes, Workforce and OD projects and trust-wide initiatives
- Maintain appropriate documentation and electronic record-keeping of ER activity related to own caseload

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Experience in advisory HR role ideally ER role
- Educated to degree level / part qualified or studying for CIPD qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience in providing advice and guidance on a range of Employee Relations issues
- This role may require you to show evidence of education at Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience._
