Head of Undergraduate Programme

The Head of Undergraduate Programme reports to the Principal.
**Purpose of the position**
Ensure the effective management, high quality delivery and future development of the Undergraduate Programme (years 1-3) in collaboration with the relevant faculty and programme divisions locally and in France and under the supervision of the Principal of the EM Normandie Oxford campus.
- **Main Duties**
In collaboration with the academic programme leadership (e.g. dean of programmes, faculty dept., quality and accreditation dept.) and the Principal:
- oversees and ensures the delivery of high quality academic and experiential content and students’ activities
- supervises and manages programme objectives, course content and delivery schedules
- suggests changes to syllabi and curricula based on student feedback
- aligns with both continental and UK HE Standards (quality management)
- complies with international accreditation standards (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA)
- develops, aligns, and manages resources to support the UG programme
- establishes relationships with students and facilitates exchanges with parents where appropriate
- monitors students’ progress and attendance
- advises students on programme related matters and deals with disciplinary issues
- develops partnerships with to increase students’ external activities in relation to the programme, such as site visits (e.g. BMW Plant Cowley)
- identifies potential new opportunities to develop and deliver students’ external activities in relation to the programme (e.g. UK Sports Management Course and Oxford United Football Club)
- oversees the preparation for and hosting of site visits (prospective students/parents in summer)
- recruits and trains programme staff and adjunct lecturers
- organises inductions for starting adjunct lecturers at the beginning of the semester
- oversees the recruitment and payment processes for adjunct lecturers
- ensures adjunct lecturers comply with training requirements (e.g., Safeguarding, H&S)
- ensures that all policies in force within the organization are being adhered to and that lecturers and staff working on the UG programmes are fully aware of these
- organises exams and resits in coordination with other stakeholders (course leaders, programme assistant, invigilators,)
- prepares budgets in cooperation with the admin team and monitors adherence to approved budgets during the relevant financial year
- participates in local and cross-campus meetings (e.g., Local Academic Board, Delegates’ meetings, Exam Boards, Cross-campus online Programme Committee etc.)
- directs and oversees the work of the UG Programme Assistant
- performs any other related duties
**Skills and competences required**:
- Master’s degree
- a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in higher education
- proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken)
- strong leadership, organizational and management skills
- mental agility, emotional intelligence, flexibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset
- evidence of verbal and interpersonal presentation and writing skills and an ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of various knowledge and English levels
- a passion for working with multiple diverse stakeholders.
