Leadership Performance Lead

**The opportunity**
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Torness Power Station for a position as the station’s lead for improving overall leadership capability across the site. This post involves co-ordination and project management along with some training delivery where necessary. It is based within our Performance Improvement Department, working closely with the Human Resources Department.
You will develop strong links with our across all our key departments, ensuring the central leadership development programme is embedded at Torness and continually review the station requirements locally to further enhance this leadership development offering for our station leaders.

**What you will be doing**
You will be working with other leaders to provide coaching, advice and guidance within the remit of your role and work with the HR team in setting the leadership development direction and content.
Essential elements include:
- Leadership development programme management - establish and drive the delivery of the leadership development programme, drawing on relevant support as required.
- Understanding of the specific leadership development needs for key leadership groups and individuals as required, incorporating solutions.
- Establishing measures of leadership performance with ongoing monitoring to assess effectiveness of interventions and areas that may require additional focus.
- Working with Human Performance led to ensure alignment of HU performance improvement strategy with the leadership development programme, ensuring where possible that interventions align with the needs of both focus areas.
- Reviewing leadership induction requirements to ensuring our new leaders are fully equipped to embark on their journey.
- Establishing and maintain strong links with central People Development team.
At a more Senior Level, you will establish and maintain knowledge of latest leadership thinking and developments to incorporate best practice into the programme as appropriate. You will be a credible coach to leaders at all levels and network across various levels of leaders to enable open, supportive discussions to take place, providing tailored support as required.

- You will have good stakeholder and project management skills and be a strong communicator with the ability to self-direct and work autonomously at times.
- You will have a strong interest in leadership, either to continue developing your own skill set with an aspiration to becoming a leader or to help impart your own successful leadership experience and approaches with other leaders.
- You will be able to work flexibly and deliver solutions focussed training interventions where necessary.
- You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable presenting to different groups of people.
