Our client, in the Tonbridge area, are seeking an Anti-Fraud Investigator to look into cases of suspected fraud and report any findings. Salary is £30,000/annum and comes with a host of benefits to include an in-house gym, a discretionary performance-basedbonus, career development and training opportunities, parking, pension and a host of social events such as summer and Christmas parties.

Duties include writing discrepancy and reservation of rights letters; dealing with risk referrals; conducting extensive and confidential investigations of suspected fraud allegations; undertaking searches for the validation of claims; dealing with counterfraud review calls.

Skills and drive/motivation:

- Particularly key is the ability to deploy conversation management and cognitive interviewing techniques and thereby to undertake effective counter fraud telephone interviews
- The role requires the ability to "think on your feet" and be adaptive to deal with the different strategies a suspicious claimant may deploy during the interview.
- Also key is the ability to manage claims under investigation by skillful correspondence, particularly discrepancy letters and dealing with policy holder responses to them in a way that manages fraudulent or suspicious claims to a satisfactory outcome.
- A flexible approach to combating fraud is required which will include an ability to think laterally, respond to encountered misdirection whilst keeping a clear focus on the overall strategy on a claim and always be alive to potential technical knockoutsfor misrepresentation at the underwriting stage as well as misrepresentation in the claim
- Professional, polite assertiveness and determination when faced with claimants who maybe trying to deflect or mislead
- The appetite and ability to strategise and think tactically through and around obstacles deployed by a suspicious claimant to pursue an investigation
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- A methodical approach that does not leave loose ends
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- PC literate with good administrative skills.
- Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary.
- A passion for counter fraud work
- Attention to detail and nuance both verbal and written
- A questioning, analytical mind-set
- Excellent customer service skills

Experience / knowledge:

- At least 5 year's previous experience of working in an fraud investigation role in the desktop basis or field basis preferably.
- Knowledge of legal proceedings, especially the Fraud Act 2006

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary education with qualifications in Maths and English, or demonstrable ability in numeracy skills & written English.
