**Accounts Payable Associate - immediate start, temporary**

**2-3 months assignment, possible extension**

**Company**:An SME Business Consulting firm based in Fitzrovia/Tottenham Court Road

**Opportunity**: A fantastic SME is growing exponentially and they need an additional pair of hands as they migrate into a new expenses system. The Finance Associate will hit the ground running, getting stuck in and supporting the teams through a smooth migration, ensuring that all invoices are processed and all expenses are logged against the system by end of April, as they wrap up the Financial Year.

To add value to this role, The Accounts Payable Associate to have a no-job-is-beneath-me approach and be able to partner with all stakeholders across the business, educating teams around how to submit their expenses correctly to ensure a robust, efficient and seamless operational flow within the Finance function, in preparation for Year-end.

If you have experience and enjoy jumping into teams to get involved in fast-paced projects, getting stuck in and getting busy from day 1, we'd love to hear from you.

You must be **immediately available**, looking to start within the next 2 weeks/right after Easter as a latest.

**Day rate**: £250-300 a day outside IR35

**What the Accounts Payable Assocuate will do**:

- Accurately code purchase invoices and employee expenses
- preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support and educate teams as they transition to a new system
- Processing a moderate volume or invoices and expenses
- Ensure finance documentation and filing is complete and meets compliance and year-end reporting requirements
- Identify automation opportunities for transaction processing and financial reporting
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required

**Skills and experience**
- A sound understanding of the fundamental principles of bookkeeping
- 2-3 years accounting experience (if studying towards a professional accounting
- qualification)
- 4 years bookkeeping experience (if not studying)
- Excellent clerical skills
- Data entry skills
- Experience in accounting for VAT
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero
- Organised and process-driven
- Thoroughness and a meticulous attention to detail
- A high appreciation of confidentiality
- A strong multitasker
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- A high level of professionalism
