The post holder will be based at East Lancs with some flexibility for remote working. The post consists of administrative support for the liver surveillance project. This will include working with data from the four provider trusts, and there will be information governance responsibility to safeguard the data. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of a project which will improve care for patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

There will be a requirement to work with the clinical teams from all four provider trusts, also setting up working relationships with primary care teams, drug and alcohol services and prison healthcare systems.

The post holder will need strong organisational and data management skills and experience of working with NHS systems. It would be very useful to have a good grasp of Word and Excel.

This is a new post, and the post holder will be involved with setting up systems

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary liver surveillance team comprising of Nurses, clerical administrators and Doctors.

The team aims to improve liver surveillance across Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Alliance, and to support the four provider trusts to implement surveillance systems that ensure timely, safe care for all patients that require liver surveillance.

There will also be a requirement to work with the Cancer Alliance project management team, and to provide data reports to update NHS England liver surveillance team regularly. This will involve attendance at project management meetings, setting up meetings and providing administrative support for this activity.

Once a surveillance programme has been agreed across the Cancer Alliance, the post holder will be responsible for maintaining data collection, and monitoring compliance with surveillance protocols.

JOB SUMMARY

**MAIN DUTIES**:

Monitoring and clerical duties

1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships throughout the ODN
2. Collect, collate and report routine and simple data
3. Support the development of patient literature and surveys
4. Collect and collate patient satisfaction surveys for the ODN and produce associated reports
5. Take an active part in team meetings
6. Attend local and national events to develop own knowledge, sharing best practice and ensuring the ODN is fully informed
7. General administrative duties to support the Hepatitis C ODN as appropriate.
8. To exhibit professional behaviour and attitude at all times, and demonstrate excellent customer care skills with respect for privacy, dignity, security and confidentiality.
9. To organise patient records and carry out clerical duties as and when required. This is to include use of the prison health system “System One” and hep c databases.
