We are currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join our growing Construction Company at YourRetreats. At YourRetreats, we take pride in our forward-thinking approach to construction projects, specializing in park and luxury lodges. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the day-to-day purchasing of materials, plant, and services. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the team with administrative tasks, resolving invoice queries, and providing tender support, preparation, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute day-to-day purchasing activities for materials, plant, and services, considering price, quality, and delivery to meet operational needs.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Resolve invoice queries and ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Assist in tender support, preparation, and analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal staff and external suppliers.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding service issues and relay relevant information to the project team.
- Identify sustainable and innovative products/services within the supply chain.
- Attend supplier meetings as required.
- Maintain the supplier database and service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance of the purchasing function with company policies, procedures, and levels of authority.
- Prepare performance reports for the buying team as required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in purchasing within the construction industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable and innovative products/services.
- Familiarity with supplier relationship management.
- Ability to read plans and take down order quantities
- Utilise MRP software
- Adherence to compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and analyze performance reports.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
